Cover Crop Local Cost Share Program

This cost share practice will pay $10 per acre for up to 100 acres, not to exceed $500 per landowner or farm number for the planting of a cover crop after harvest of corn for grain or silage, or soybeans in the fall of 2016. The cover crop can be wheat or rye and can be harvested for grain or planted into, in the spring.
After planting a cover crop, please bring your bills for seed to the conservation office and indicate the acres and fields planted on a map.
The cover crop should be planted before December 1, 2016. First come, first serve until funding is depleted. Spot checking will be done by the Woodford County Conservation District Board. Funding is subject to board approval.  (See form below.)
