Carcass Removal Program

The Woodford County Conservation District has an agreement with Nation Brothers, Inc., in Shelbyville, to pick up the dead livestock in Woodford County at no charge to the landowner.  This includes horses, cattle, hogs, ostrich, llamas and goats.  This also includes deer on county roads.  This agreement does not include commercial facilities such as vet clinics or stockyards.  No sheep will be accepted by Nation Brothers at any time.

Any person desiring this service needs to call Nation Brothers at 1-800-633-5677.  They must have their animals placed on a hard surface, such as gravel or blacktop, near the front of the property.  Nation Brothers will not go through any unopened gates or remove animals from areas where live animals are contained.

Nation Brothers office hours are from 6 am-4 pm Monday through Thursday and 6 am-12 noon on Friday.  They will be closed on all holidays.
