Conservation Teacher of the Year The Woodford County Conservation District honors a teacher in the Woodford County School System each year who has excelled in teaching his/her students about the environment and how to take care of our planet in which we live. 2006-07 Conservation Teacher of the Year was Laura Wright and Leslie Curtis, Woodford County Middle School, Team Teachers.
2005-06 Conservation Teacher of the Year was Shelby Ison, Northside Elementary.
