Agriculture Resource Building
The Woodford County Agriculture Resource Building is home to all agricultural agencies (Farm Service Agency, Cooperative Extension Service, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, and the Woodford County Conservation District) in the County. The building is located on Beasley Road at the Woodford County Park and consists of 6400 square feet which includes a large meeting room, conference room, resource library, activities area and kitchen facilities. This facility is owned by the Woodford County Conservation District and is the first of its kind in Kentucky. Without the assistance of the community leadership this building and our environmental education programs would not be a reality.
In the Spring of 2004, a 3400 square foot expansion was added to the Ag Resource Building. The Cooperative Extension Service needed more space, so the District agreed to the addition which included more office space, another large meeting room, a project room and a certified kitchen for the Farmer's Market members.
The Agriculture Resource Building just celebrated its 10th anniversary on August 31, 2004. We cannot stress enough the importance of cooperation between agencies, the community and individuals. Thank you to everyone that made this dream a reality.
